How Technology Makes Our Dentistry Better
- Crystal Clear Imaging with Our Intraoral Camera
- Safe Digital X-Ray Imaging System
- Comfortable & Precise Digital Impression System
Intraoral Camera
Our MouthWatch intraoral camera is a small, easily-maneuverable wand that has a high-quality camera attached to the end of it. It’s connected to a large, chairside monitor that allows us to see a magnified view of hard-to-reach nooks and crannies of your mouth to observe any suspicious symptoms in greater detail. Because you’ll be able to see the real-time footage that we’re viewing, we can easily describe the problem that we’re observing and better explain possible treatment plans that can take care of it.
Digital X-Rays
In the past, dentists would use film X-ray imaging systems that used harmful chemicals for the environment and emitted a greater amount of radiation. At Goodyear Family Dentistry, we utilize all-digital X-ray imaging technology that produces clearer pictures of your mouth and reduces radiation exposure by up to 90 percent. This makes getting routine X-rays safer and more effective for patients of all ages.
CT/Cone Beam Scanner
Our KaVo OP 3D Cone Beam CT Scanner is a unique and incredibly advanced instrument that allows Dr. Wheeler to capture a complete, panoramic X-ray of your entire facial structure. Dr. Wheeler uses this device to help plan dental implant placement surgeries and orthodontic treatments, ensuring the most successful results. It’s able to not only capture images of the bone in your facial structure, but also your nerves, sinuses, dentition, and the nasal cavity.
Digital Impression System
In the past, dental impressions were taken using a piece of thick, gag-inducing putty that requires your mouth to be completely dry during the process. At Goodyear Family Dentistry, we use our Medit i500 digital scanner to capture detailed impressions of teeth and craft perfectly-fitted dental crowns, bridges, and dentures. In addition to being more comfortable, our digital impression system is also fast at capturing a blueprint of your mouth, so you won’t have to wait in the treatment chair for longer than necessary!
